Achievements

X-Change Life features an achievement system, tracked independently of your save files. Achievements are saved in your browser’s local storage, and should sync between save files periodically unless you have used cheats, in which case that file will not save any achievements.

Achievements are not tracked on files which have used the Cheat Menu or the developer console. To find out if a save file has ever cheated, go to the Achievements Menu. A file which is flagged as having cheated will have the “You Cheated!” achievement unlocked.

Achievement Packs

Achievement packs can contain distinct sets of achievements, indicating the source for a given group. Most achievements use the “Base” pack, indicating they are part of X-Change Life’s core experience. Others originally come from mods, such as the Office Girls achievements or the Exhibitionist achievements. These should be considered part of the core experience now, but were originally additions from the X-Change Life community.

Hidden Achievements

Most achievements have their conditions visible from the start, but not all do! A secret list of “Hidden Achievements” is waiting for you to discover them. Each hidden achievement will also grant you a surprise 0.01x additive bonus to your XP multiplier, meaning that earning achievements improves all of your save files over time!

Hidden achievements are not counted towards the total number of achievements, but *are* counted towards your percentage — meaning it is actually possible to earn more than 100% completion but gaining a large enough number of hidden achievements.

Hidden achievements are indicated after their completion by the presence of the “🤫” emoji. Any achievements in your list with the “🤫” emoji were hidden, before they were unlocked, at least.

For a list of all achievements, including the hidden ones, you can examine the code in the official X-Change Life repository. Careful though — the list does spoil every single hidden achievement. Note that some achievements in the base game’s code may be for upcoming versions of the game, so don’t be surprised if some are not yet available in public builds.
