Stat Structure

Core Stats
Your character has multiple measurements that are used throughout the game. The information on this page is focused on the three “core” stats: Charm, Intellect, and Fitness.

Stat Maximum
Stats are measured on a scale of 1-10. However, your maximum at character creation is set according to your Personality Archetype. They can be further manipulated by using the add/subtract buttons directly below the stat display, trading your possible xp multiplier for the change. Lower stat caps will raise your multiplier, while higher caps will lower it. The choice is only locked when you select start game, so players are free to increase/decrease to compare until the setting is balanced to their liking.

Base Stat
Your current stat level, the launching point for determining your effective stat.

Effective Stat
Your base stat with any buff/debuff effects. The actual number used for most relevant calculations, such as skill checks. If your effects are mostly positive, your effective stat will be displayed in green print. If mostly negative, it will be in red print. Hovering your cursor over the stat will bring up a tooltip showing what is affecting you. Note: Since stats cannot go above 10, trying to stack buffs higher than that does not achieve any additional benefit.
